Rebecca Fakier died of Neuroblastoma Cancer on July 18, 2003. This
cancer is rarely seen in children over the age of fourteen and it took
little Rebecca from her family at the tender age of eight. Children
with Neuroblastoma are usually not diagnosed until Stage IV, when
the cancer has taken over their small bodies. Childhood cancer hits
home hard as parents cope with losing a child. A child’s life
is just
beginning and instead of playing, they have to fight to stay alive.
All pledges for Rebecca’s cause will go to research and awareness
for the early detection and eradication of childhood cancer.
